La Bonté’s founder, Jess, was born in Brussels and raised in London. With a French-speaking mother and a vibrant, multicultural community around her, her earliest food memories were of shared meals where language barriers faded and food took the lead. This inspired La Bonté’s approach to cooking: not traditionally English, but rooted in bold global flavours and real, whole ingredients.

We're passionate about making food that’s not just delicious, but deeply nourishing. Rich in healthy fats, gut-friendly, and free from ultra-processed, industrial, or artificial ingredients — this is food that feels as good as it tastes.

Almost everything we serve is made from scratch — from pickles and kimchi to flavour-packed pastes and fresh-baked breads. That’s how we make sure every bite delivers on taste, nutrition, and quality.

We source locally, supporting small-scale growers and producers who share our values. It’s better for the planet, better for the food system, and better for our community.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), La Bonté exists to create positive change — influencing local food culture, encouraging healthier choices, and helping to build a stronger local economy.
